Internships and Fellowships

ReThink Media’s paid Internship and Fellowship program provides talented undergraduate and graduate students in traditional and digital media and communications, journalism, design and data visualization, media and public opinion research and analysis, website management and tech support, and non-profit management, with hands-on experience in the field of issue advocacy communications. Fellows and Interns are trained and mentored by experienced professionals and gain real-work experience in applying the latest media tools and strategies in addressing some of the most prominent issue campaigns of our day. Interns and Fellows also get the chance to work and develop contacts with many of the leading nonprofits and experts in the country.

Successful candidates will be exposed to a wide range of skills and responsibilities in media relations, research, design, management, and communications skills and responsibilities, many of which are described below.

Provide a brief summary of your skills and experience, and address your background or interest in relation to working on these issues. State whether your are applying for an internship (currently in or recently graduated as an undergrad) or a fellowship (currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a graduate program) and whether you have a preference for being based in our DC or Bay Area, CA office. We are also open to candidates in Boise, ID. Attach your resume to the email and make sure to include your name in the title of the attachment (eg: resume.Jones.doc). The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship invites recent college and graduate school alumni to apply for six- to nine-month paid fellowships with NGOs in Washington, DC, including ReThink Media, focusing on arms control, peace, and international security issues.
