Beau Salant is the Associate on the Research & Analysis team, with a focus on public opinion analysis and targeted messaging recommendations. Beau has a storied history working in political polling and survey research, starting at Emerson College where he received his B.S. in Political Communication. Prior to joining ReThink, he worked at the polling firm Lake Research Partners, and cut his nonprofit communications teeth at the National Consumer Law Center. He has developed, conducted, analyzed, and implemented both quantitative and qualitative studies in a variety of settings to help push for a more just and progressive society, and is proud to have helped develop new, 21st century methodologies to address the new problems facing pollsters and researchers today.
Beau hails from New Jersey, which means he will gladly argue with you about anything and everything but will be rendered useless and afraid if asked to pump his own gas. He currently lives in the nation's capitol, working out of ReThink's DC office. In his spare time, Beau enjoys long-distance running, musical theater, and exploring everything DC has to offer (usually combining all three). His other hobbies include discovering a random topic/subject on the internet, learning everything possible about that topic/subject, and then never utilizing any of that knowledge ever again.
