Chelsey Cox is a Social Media Fellow for ReThink Media. She works on several projects, including rapid response assistance by creating strategy tips on responding to breaking news items, social media audits for emerging bodies of work, analytics research, and blog updates. Chelsey is passionate about human rights, racial and gender parity, and brings with her a strong social science research and teaching background.
Before joining ReThink, Chelsey worked as a Senior Research Associate for ICF Consulting, a premiere international consulting firm. She was involved in data retrieval, management, and analysis for the Executive Office of the President Drug-Free Communities program. During her tenure, Chelsey contributed to documenting and updating essential syntax coding for mid- and end-year survey response data.
Chelsey holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an M.S. in Sociology from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is currently working towards a second Master’s degree in Journalism at the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. A certified dance aerobics instructor, Chelsey enjoys attending any aerobics class she can find. In addition, she performs each year with fellow instructors from the Joy of Motion Dance Studio on the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage.
