Managing Director, Money in Politics and Fair Courts
Ginna Green is the Managing Director for Money in Politics and Fair Courts, where she leads the team working to build a stronger movement for a more representative democracy. She works with leading national organizations, as well as local groups from coast to coast, and her work spans the spectrum from message development to rapid response, from social media mobilization to placing experts in the broadcast media.
For more than a decade, Ginna has crafted winning messages and campaigns in pursuit of social change. Most recently, Ginna managed communications for the California office of the Center for Responsible Lending. Prior to that, Ginna was Director of Public Relations at Full Court Press Communications in Oakland, California, where she worked with clients primarily in the areas of the environment and education. She has also worked with The OpEd Project, the SPIN Academy, at AlterNet, and as a strategist for the Breakthrough Institute. Ginna edited, with Dr. Julianne Malveaux, The Paradox of Loyalty: An African-American Response to the War on Terrorism. Her work has been published in the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and San Francisco Chronicle.
Ginna is very competitive, and especially enjoys winning at Scrabble, air hockey, and bocce. She also loves nonfiction, bourbon, cooking, stationery, and college sports (especially her beloved University of South Carolina Gamecocks). Ginna is a champion speller, and on flights between Columbia, SC and DC, she races against the clock to finish the airline's crossword and brain teasers before the plane lands.
