Grace Harvey is the Digital Content and Design Associate working with the Democracy Collaborative. She is beyond excited to be part of the amazing democracy reform efforts happening all around the country! Grace does all kinds of design and digital strategy work: consulting with organizations on how to run successful digital ad campaigns, brainstorming innovative design and storytelling tactics for online communicators, thinking about how to connect online advocacy with IRL policy solutions, and hosting virtual office hours for collaborative members to drop in with questions and conversation.
Before coming to ReThink Media and digital advocacy, Grace cut her teeth in the world of corporate marketing, working as a community manager and content producer for several household brands. There, she learned a bunch of acronyms, developed her online listening skills, and had the good fortune to learn from many generous and experienced marketers and digital strategists. She also has a healthy amount of experience working in kitchens, which comes in handy if ever you need a bunch of things chopped up fast—or maybe you're just looking for someone who stays cool under pressure.
A sun-loving California transplant originally from a small town in Southern Illinois, Grace studied cinema and politics at Oberlin College in Ohio. She loves watching mediocre TV shows, puzzling through a good crossword (Sunday - Wednesday only please), and making music — look for her playing bass in a pretty sweet rock band in Oakland or noodling around in her solo cello-and-singing project.
