Fadwa Rashid
Director of Finance
Fadwa Rashid has served as Director of Finance at ReThink Media since late 2021. They bring almost 20 years of finance and accounting experience with nonprofit organizations and worker-owned businesses.
Prior working at Rethink Media, Fadwa was the Accounting Director at nonprofit Power California and PowerCA Action, its sibling 501(c)(4), where they handled lobbying and state campaign finance disclosures for both organizations. Before that, they worked in accounting, human resources, and business management with Strength in Numbers Bookkeeping Cooperative and Arizmendi Bakery in Oakland. Through these positions, Fadwa developed their passion for optimizing critical internal organizational infrastructure and developing the financial acumen of non-accounting staff
Outside of ReThink, you will usually find Fadwa raising their amazing elementary school kid, listening to podcasts, cooking and enjoying home-made meals, and spending time in nature.
A first generation Palestinian American who grew up in the US and lived in Palestine during the First Intifada, Fadwa is passionate about nonprofit finance as a way to support social justice movements
