Sara Hollingshead is ReThink Media’s 2025 Peace and Security Fellow through the Progressive Pipeline Fellowship. Prior to joining ReThink, Sara was a Pipeline Fellow with Women of Color Advancing Peace, Security, and Conflict Transformation (WCAPS) and interned at Peace Boat US, where she worked on initiatives connecting nuclear survivors, youth, and international disarmament efforts. She earned her BA from the University of Michigan in International Studies and Sociocultural Anthropology, where her academic work explored comparative culture and identity across global contexts. Sara is passionate about intergenerational memory, grassroots organizing, and using storytelling as a tool to advance social justice.

Outside of work, Sara enjoys crocheting, knitting, and reading Asian American literature. She is also involved in community-based peace and justice organizing, drawing from her Japanese-American heritage and personal ties to Hiroshima.
