Celebrate National Voter Registration Day by Telling a Friend (or Two!)
We know that you are registered to vote because you’ve never missed an election and wouldn’t dream of not making your voice heard in this upcoming election.
But that doesn’t mean you’re off the hook today, National Voter Registration Day.
Take a moment or two to spread the word to your networks about the need for every eligible citizen to register to vote. Make it a point to reach out personally to just three family members or friends. Even those who are already registered should take time to make sure their registration address is up to date.
To make your outreach even easier, the Declaration for American Democracy, the Democracy Initiative, Election Protection, and the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights have put together an excellent Social Media Toolkit. And be sure to tag your posts with #NationalVoterRegistrationDay.
Additionally, here are some sites to send people to check their registration: www.VoteAmerica.com, www.Vote.org, www.vote411.org, naleo.org/registertovote (multi-lingual), and Ballotready.org.
