Rosie Berman is the Communications Fellow for Peace and Security. In this role, she produces ReThink’s daily nuclear policy roundup and weekly newsletter highlighting the US’s post-9/11 wars. Prior to ReThink, Rosie researched how the United States can strengthen its security accountability policies and practices at the Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC), mentored youth social change leaders from around the world at Peace First, and advocated for the release of imprisoned human rights defenders at the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission (TLHRC).
Originally from Massachusetts, Rosie has a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Clark University. In her spare time, she enjoys reading (especially speculative fiction), creative writing, yarn crafts, and spending time outdoors.
It’s exciting to wake up every day and know I’m providing advocates with the tools they need to transform the narrative into one that no longer considers violence as the first resort and centers the people most impacted by U.S. security policies.
