Deepika (Dee) Choudhary is the Managing Director of the Peace and Security Collaborative, where she works with leading experts and organizations on the intersection between national security—specifically nuclear weapons issues—politics, and the media. Dee is responsible for curating daily news clips, pitching reporters, drafting op-eds, creating social media content, designing graphics, highlighting rapid response opportunities, providing media trainings, and anything else that drops on her plate to advance our causes. She is also currently a NSquare Innovation Fellow, which is a vibrant cross-sector group of technologists, game designers, policy experts, diplomats, Hollywood filmmakers, and more who are tackling nuclear challenges together in new ways.
Prior to joining ReThink, Dee interned at the Center for International Policy working with their Win Without War and Arms and Security programs. She tracked media and Congressional developments on the Iran nuclear deal, the escalating situation in Iraq, the crisis in Syria, the ongoing war in Afghanistan, and increases in Pentagon spending to support lobbyists on the Hill and grassroots activists on the ground.
Deepika holds a B.A. in Politics from Marymount University and has always been a foreign policy and national security news junkie. When she's not reading (which is constantly), Dee is all about listening to Hindi music, dancing, and engaging large groups of people––with the occasional heated debate.
